September Peaches
Those who are interested in canning peaches, the price has increased by 20 cents per can. They are now $1.20 per can and $14.40 per case. It's still a good deal compared with store bought canned peaches.
Due to the interest expressed in the recent surveys, we have added an evening session for peaches on Wednesday, September 1st at 6:00 pm. This is open to anyone but individuals will still need to call or email their preorder.
Contact Brother Scott Lutz (snlutz at q dot com) if you want to can peaches beginning September 1st. He also needs to have an estimate of how many cans/cases you want to purchase. Email him by this weekend!
Upcoming Foods to be Canned
We are beginning to take preorders for Cream of Chicken Soup and Diced Chicken. These products will be canned in October. Prices are included on your October Calendar.
The Aurora Cannery staff is not planning to can as many pears in October than the current peaches. Therefore, signups will be open and each session will be longer than 4 hours so you can plan accordingly.
