Stake RS Service Projects

STAKE RS SERVICE PROJECTS
The service projects we are doing during the General Relief Society Broadcast in September will be collection only. We won't be working on them that day. Items we will be collecting:

Shoeboxes for Soldiers -- website www.operationshoebox.com will give you a list of what can be put in the shoebox to send overseas. It is pretty extensive and lots of choices. We need 20 sisters to bring filled shoeboxes. Please contact your Relief Society President to volunteer. You may do a box alone or go together with others. This is a great project for you and your visiting teaching companion and/or ladies.

Blankets for the Children's Hospital in Denver --contact person Shaina Nunnelly in the Briargate ward. http://mygratefulheart.wordpress.com newborn, crib, twin blankets --fleece, receiving blankets, new (bought or homemade).

Children's Books (pre-school and up) for the LOGO project in town, to be distributed in book bags to children from low income families.

JOB OPPORTUNITY
Diana Grover's cleaning business is really taking off and she now needs to hire 2 more people. Pass the word along if you think it might be helpful in your ward. Send an email to NorthgateReliefSociety@gmail.com if you are interested. She pays $10 an hour and will increase pay as people stay with her.
